- I’m Assistant Professor of Political Science at the Department of Political Science of the University of Bologna. I
currently teach courses on Introduction to Political Science and
Eastern European Political Systems at the University of Bologna, Forlì
Campus.
- I
got a laurea (BA) from the faculty of Political Sciences “Cesare
Alfieri” of the University of Florence with a thesis on the Italian
budgetary policy, and a PhD in Comparative and European Politics from
the University of Siena with a thesis on ethnoregionalist parties in
Europe. I have been postdoctoral fellow at the Centre for the Study of
Political Change (CIRCaP) of the same university from 2004 to 2006. I
have been visiting scholar at the Centre de Politique Comparée,
Université Catholique de Louvain (Belgium) and at the Center for the
Study of Democracy, University of California, Irvine. I'm currently serving as a
member of the editorial board of the Rivista Italiana di Scienza
Politica. I'm a member of
the Italian Political Science Association.
- My
main research interests are in the fields of European political
parties, with a specific focus on ethno-regionalist ones, political
élites and electoral systems. I have published several articles and
book chapters in Italian, English and French. A book on European
ethno-regionalist parties has recently been published by Il Mulino.
